Currently I’m in a program which helps hardened criminals like me (with no felonies at all in my jacket, in fact nothing other than a couple muni tickets and a stolen candie bar from 15 years ago) to redeem themselves by connecting them to the social services network, and making them show up every friggin week for court.. ..which I am now doing. But its keeping me out of jail.
So, I have a choice; either plead out to hopefully reduced charges and have a felony record as well as a three year probation, or fight the case, which means I’ll most likely go straight back to 850 Bryant until my court date, probably a month away.
I’m seriously considering fighting it, but need both moral and physical support from everyone who can, namely by showing up during the arraignment, and by e-mailing the judge of the case, to state that I’m solid, that I won’t ‘flee’ the city, so they’ll let me out on O.R.
Another strange element of this case, somehow it got out that I was involved in the OCCUPY MOVEMENT. And though I have no direct evidence that I’m being used as some kinda scape goat why would this even be remarked on if I wasn’t. Someone thought enough about it to put it in my records. I have no idea how it got there. Amusingly, my PD thinks I should use this to my benefit and pack the court with occupiers. I told them all the sf occupiers have been gentrified out of the city and are now living in the east bay! He didn’t seem to get it....
I love you guys. Can you/will you/do you have the time to come through for me?"
