Address letters or packages to: James Cartmill 1060 Howard st San Francisco, CA 94103 Just another day at the office in San Francisco.... or was it? With an estimated 600+ attendees at the 1 Billion Rising San Francisco rally in front of City Hall, many people holding signs, some with flags, others with bubble makers. Almost everyone had a camera out at one point or another, especially when Black Eyed Peas Allan Pineda (AKA) apl.de.ap) stepped up to the podium and then down to the mixing tables at the tent. The street was Chalkupied by the children.... and some adults. The rally lasted for about 2 hours with just a few police on scene but ever present. To see the rest of the photos from today go to the Photos tab, videos will be uploaded to OccupySFTV on YouTube. #ICM3 OccupySF Chalkupy & Day We Fight Back Against Mass Surveillance SF 2.11.14 #OSF #VFP #OVSF2/11/2014 Captains Log: 2.8.14 - Comms... check, power... check, Photos uploaded... check! Debrief... check! 2.4.14 Once again the SF activists anti Keystone XL pipeline goes off without a hitch. Success is one of those things you can measure in how many cars honk as they drive past a protest like this. With only a hundred or more protesters on site I personally counted a dozen or more honks in a 15 min time span, that's nearly one honk a minute! The day started off at UN Plaza where we all gathered, then marching one block to the Federal bldg on the corner of Mission & 7th where protesters promptly blocked both entrances, allowing only a select few to enter the building. Others not allowed to enter the building were visibly agitated, contacting the police officers (DHS) that were starting to gather in groups of 3 to 5 at both entrances (I counted a dozen total). The event lasted about 2 hrs with 28 citations (no arrests), and a photo op at the end of it all. I selected my best 10 photos for this edition of EXTRA however an additional 63 photos are available for viewing on the Photos tab. Enjoy :) Video clip of the NO Keystone XL pipeline protest in SF Monday night (2.3.14) at Spear Tower, across the street from the Federal Reserve Bank (#OSF's forward base in 2011). Approximately 300+ people in attendance from a variety of activist cells from within the city including Code Pink, Veterans For Peace, OccupySF, and many more, effecting thousands of passers by on their way home from work who stopped to take pictures, video and ask questions. Photo slideshow below video. Enjoy :) Photos of the Anti TPP rally at the SF Federal bldg (pre-march) 1.31.14 ... OccupySF, Veterans For Peace, Code Pink and many, many more showing support AGAINST the TPP... photos of the march are on the Photos tab - "Anti TPP March Down Market st 1.31.14 #ICM3 #VFP #OVSF #OSF" New photos uploaded to the Photos tab from the Anti TPP rally at the Fairmont Hotel (1.31.14) where the 1st Lady had a luncheon with her "subjects". The Black Team (Free Press) was harassed by the local constabulary requesting IDs under "suspicious" activity, like holding a camera, and going into the hotel (I was not questioned as I did not go into the building) . More pictures of the march down Market st later in the day to be loaded stat...
